Gyroor Warrior Hoverboard – Review
Off roading hoverboard
Off roading hoverboard refers to a group of hoverboards with bigger wheels that enable them to work even on difficult terrains such as grass, sand, mud, hill, all without stress. Gyroor Warrior has pneumatic wheels of 8.5inches which give you control in off-road terrains. These tires use air which serves as a cushion that ensures balance.
While 8.5 inches is common for off roading hoverboards, you should know that there are larger wheels out there, as big as 10 inches.
There’s no doubt that the “Warrior” name was well thought out, as shown in the durability and overall strength. It is impressive how sturdy it is, which is no surprise as it is made of 90% aluminum and an anti-lock braking system (ABS). The design makes it waterproof, ensuring that one of the difficult terrains the Gyroor warrior hoverboard can navigate is water.
It is great for both kids and adults as it handles a weight limit of 20 -120 kg, which is 44 – 265 pounds. This means the minimum weight category is 20kg, and so a good age category would be from 7 years. It’s also important to mention how very heavy it is, which understandably could be a deal-breaker for some.
It weighs about 33 pounds, i.e., 15 kg, which is much bigger than other hoverboards, especially that ideal for children. It only comes in four colors which are limiting but in tandem with the Warrior name. It comes in black, red, blue and white.
Speed and performance
The Gyroor warrior hoverboard has a powerful 350W lithium-ion battery dual-motor, which is very impressive when you consider the cost compared to other hoverboards. It moves at a speed limit of 9.95 miles per hour (i.e., 16km/hr, which is very powerful and shows money’s worth compared to other hoverboards that move at that speed).
The Warrior is a smart hoverboard that works with a Bluetooth-compatible app. Settings can be made to control the speed to avoid any accidents, and from there, move up as needed. This comes in handy for kids or beginners.
The app also helps you listen to music, stay on track during movements, informs you on battery life, and even sets an anti-theft alarm.
Charging and Battery Life
The Gyroor hoverboard comes with a removable 36-volt LG/Samsung battery charged in less than 2 hours (a range of 1.5 – 2 hours to go from 0 – 100), which is reasonably fast and can go as long as 7.5 – 9.5 miles. How long it lasts depends on factors such as the rider’s weight and the terrain being ridden.
A good way to preserve the health of your battery and possibly extend the battery life is to only use the charger provided on purchase. You could also try to never use the battery past a certain percentage before charging and make sure to never leave it charging the entire night.
You didn’t think that was all, did you? The Warrior is equipped with certain features that make it even more appealing and conducive while journeying around. The powerful Bluetooth speakers and 6-colors LED headlights to add fun and entertainment to the mix.
Using the Bluetooth-compatible app to control any and every setting, you can listen to music and show off your colorful front and backlights. The lights also help you stay safe at night as they often change color and indicate movement.
A small downside to these features, which you may need to work around, is that the Bluetooth speakers are pretty loud (we did mention they were powerful, and no, we weren’t kidding), and so you need to control the volume else you might end up disturbing everyone. Also, when you want to stream your music, you may not like the loud indicator noise that tells you Bluetooth is on, but it’s pretty manageable and not such a bother.
Yes, they are relatively safe. We say this because while the hoverboard won’t blow up or suddenly go off usual settings, there’s still a need to be careful and use safety gear – this includes helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards.
If you’re still worried, then you’d love to know that, like other hoverboards, all Gyroor hoverboards are UL2272 certified, pointing at its safety for use. That’s reassuring, no?
The Gyroor warrior hoverboard is a self-balancing board, and there are tiny sensors built in to detect changes in speed and tilt and level up that way, upping the safety for even beginners. They also have electronic braking to keep you safer and the braking intensity is controlled by how much you lean back.
Gyroor Warrior Hoverboard – Warranty and Customer Service
There’s a 1-year warranty starting the day after purchase and covers any form of defect or damage from use. You must be prepared to cover the shipping costs, though, and can expect your defective units to be replaced in as little as five days.
Gyroor also has an active customer service and tech support team which answers questions or takes down complaints and can be reached via mail.
Gyroor Warrior Hoverboard – Conclusion
The Gyroor warrior hoverboard is a perfect blend of toughness, sleekness, smartness, and self-balancing abilities, all of which make it suitable for the task of moving over any terrain, including climbing hills. A little downside, however, is that they are not available in the US.
With its 8.5″ wheels, speed of 9.95 miles per hour, changing LED lights, Bluetooth speakers for streaming music, and smart app, you’re in for a thrill of a lifetime. In case the battery gets low, there’s no need to panic, just plug it in and when it’s fully charged, get ready to take it for another spin!
